Objective

The overall objective of HISTCAPE is to improve of protection of historical assets and related landscapes by the accomplishment of:

1) improvement of the protection of cultural heritage values of historical assets;

2) improvement of efficiency of sustainable management of cultural heritage values of responsible bodies;

3) development of a territorial dynamic view of cultural heritage values.

Activities

1) To overtake the best experience in matters related to the cultural heritage protection instruments and the public involvement in management of cultural heritage;
2) Improvement of related regional specialist skills; 
3) Preparation of political recommendations after year 2013;
4) Networking between involved institutions;
5) Cultural heritage model improvement, in order to identify and secure preservation of cultural heritage. 

Results

1) Organized 6 international conferences, 10 international seminars, 8 local seminars;
2) Prepared guidelines for political actions;
3) Improved skills and competitiveness of 110 specialists; 
4) Produced handbook for preservation of cultural heritage in rural areas;
5) Ensured publicity.
