Objective

Overall objective – to help regions to develop individual ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) regional plans for integration into the general mobility plan and to establish a joint methodology.

Specific objectives:
1) To analyse and compare challenges of sustainable mobility;

2) To identify and compare policies;

3)  To identify and analyse ICT instruments available for policy support

Activities

1) Exchange of experience;

2) Elaboration of a joint methodology and guidlines for promoting sustainable transport;

3) Building knowledge on ITS solutions;

4) Elaboration of regional sustainable transport plans

Results

 1)Improved regional sustainable policy thanks to:

- Exchange of experience about tackling problems and looking for solutions,

- Exchange of experience and new knowledge on ITS use

-  Elaboration of a joint methodology;

2) Booklet on sustainable transport policy and use of ITS in the partner regions;
3) Summary of ITS solutions;
4) Experimental use of ITS in transport services;
5) Guidelines for promotion of sustainable transport using ITS solutions.
